L.A. Poetry Beach Festival 2022

This year we organise for the second time in history L.A. Poetry Beach Festival.

This years theme is ‘Some People Never Go Crazy’. 

Please send us your winning poem before September 1st via www.poetrybeach.com/enroll. Our jury will select max. 52 poems for the L.A. Poetry Beach 2022 publication (2.000 prints)

Los Angeles Poetry Beach Festival and Poetry Train 
All selected poets will get the opportunity to recite their poem on Sunday, September 25 from 4:00 pm to 6:43 pm at the L.A .Poetry Beach Festival 2021 in front of the Poetry Monument at Venice Beach (1530 Ocean Front Walk, Los Angeles, California, 90291 | Google Maps). The 12 best poets of LAPB2022 will get a vip invitation for the Poetry Train 2022.

This year’s jury: 
– P. Segal, Director at The San Francisco Art House Project
– Erik Van Loon, Director at House Of Craziness

The jury has set the following criteria for the assessment of the poems and will assign 1 to 3 points to each of the criteria. 

1. Theme 
Is the theme:’Some people never go crazy’ well portrayed? 

2. Emotion 
Is there enough emotion: joy, sadness, fear, anger, surprise or disgust in it

3. Audience 
Is it difficult, understandable or is it simple beautifully written? 

4. Personality 
Is the personality of the poet (masculine, feminine, neuter and common) reflected in the poem? 

5. Technique 
Which technique or no technique has been used. 

LA Poetry Beach 2022 Festival 

From October 1 the ‘Some people never go crazy’ collection of poems can be bought in 100 independent bookstores in 60 cities throughout the US.
